Heart of Teaching is a (nearly) free Seminar for Sunday School and other Bible Teachers.
Our Purpose
Every Christian Church in the world that values discipleship engages in Bible teaching. Effective Bible teaching requires trained Bible teachers. Have you ever heard of a congregation that had enough qualified teachers? This seminar is designed to deal with most of the essential principles of teaching. It includes the mechanics of preparation, options for lesson delivery. Scripture is integrated throughout the text. We also cover the use of questions, and the need for engaging the students, and the valuable issues of self-evaluation and continuous improvement. The seminar finishes as it begins, with a reflection on the value of teaching and its rewards, both now and in the age to come. The seminar style is participatory with plenty of anecdotes and personal examples, collected over many years. It gives teachers space to do their own thinking and application, without sounding too "preachy". |
